A mum
Lovely to meet you and welcome to Flavour of Life!
While my passion for food takes centre stage on this page, being a mum is at the heart of who I am.
I’m the mother of a lovely, cheeky, and humorous little girl named Lia. My love for children has been with me since I was young, but it has deepened immeasurably since becoming a mother. Watching Lia grow has taught me countless lessons about patience, kindness, and becoming a better version of myself. My greatest wish is that she will always see me as a loyal friend walking alongside her through life.
One of my long-standing dreams has been to write especially stories for children. In 2024, that dream came true when my dear friend and I held the first printed copies of our book in our hands. The stories we create don’t need to be fancy or complicated they simply aim to be sincere and touching.
I'm proud to share our first book with you!

I was born into a family of teachers. Seeing my mum and sister working late into the night, marking students’ assignments, was one of the most familiar scenes of my childhood.
Being a teacher’s daughter had its perks sometimes! In Vietnam, doing anything other than paying full attention during class was strictly forbidden. So, when my mum occasionally confiscated a student’s picture book for the day, I got to sneak a peek at it for free. She always returned it the next day, of course but for me, it was a little treat after finishing my homework.
Years later, I stepped into the teaching role myself. I’ve been a lecturer at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences for over five years. What I’ve found most rewarding is the feeling of supporting and guiding students as they grow in knowledge and confidence. That quiet moment when you see someone light up with understanding that’s the magic.
Now, I bring that same mindset to Flavour of Life. I want to make food and everything around it an enjoyable, fun, and memorable experience for everyone, from little ones to grandmas.
Food with heart. Story with spice.
A teacher
As a food traveller exploring the world from East to West. You´ll find me from humble hawker stalls in Singapore to the world-renowned Noma in Copenhagen.
To me, food and ingredients reflect the culture and history of a place. Cuisine is more than just nourishment, it’s a rich expression of people, their lives, personalities, and roots.
Just like flavours, life has many layers: the sweetness of the first strawberry from a summer market, the salty breeze by the sea on a romantic getaway, the bitterness of childhood medicine, or the deep umami of a broth made in grandma’s kitchen. The longer the journey, the richer the recipe.
With an educator’s mindset and a deep passion for culinary creativity, I love designing tasting menus and experimenting with ingredients creating experiences where others can savour the flavours of life!
Join me on this flavourful journey – let’s discover the magic of food together.
